About the company/role: Food testing laboratory located in the inner suburbs of Melbourne Seeking an experienced Analytical Scientist 12 month casual contract Full-time hours Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, your responsibilities will include: Perform extraction and analysis of food analytes and nutritional compounds in food matrices. Operate and maintain laboratory instruments (GC‑FID, HPLC, LC‑MS/MS) Prepare sample sequences, acquire data, and conduct limited processing using software Process instrument data, check QA/QC results, and ensure compliance Report results accurately within LIMSin line with NATA requirements. Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment according to NATA and quality procedures Prioritise workload to meet target turnaround times for client needs Undertake other duties as directed by the supervisor. Skills/experience: Bachelor of Science majoring in Chemistry or a related discipline 2+ years' experience working in a similar role analysing food-related matrices using instrumentation (HPLC, GC-MS, LCMS) Strong analytical knowledge and troubleshooting skills Excellent time management and organisational skills NATA experience would be highly advantageous Apply If you think this could be the role for you then please apply now Please send us a cover letter AND a detailed resume in WORD format (PDFs can be corrupted / not processed).
