Poultry Process Workers required near Bendigo Job Type: Contract position | Full time position Job Description We have an opening for 20 full‑time poultry processing workers based near Bendigo VIC. The role involves cleaning the poultry layer sheds including manure removal, wash and sanitation. The core duties and responsibilities include: Carry out all tasks associated with shed cleaning between flocks, including removal of residue, running of manure belts, dry cleaning of floors, walls, ceilings and equipment by blowing, sweeping and dusting, removing litter and brushing off accumulated dirt. Wash equipment, manure removal system, walls, fans, feed troughs, cooling systems, switchboards and control panels with disinfectant solution. Sensitize the shed through aerosol, spraying of chemicals or fumigation. Effectively handle and dispose of waste generated from a shed. Provide shed operations records and documents as required. Operate all machinery, plant and equipment safely. Maintain tidiness and order in the farm workplace. Report to company representatives in the manner and timeframes as required. Comply with all company policies and procedures in place as amended from time to time. Perform any other tasks as requested within your level of skill, competence and training. Important: Out‑of‑hours contact is uncommon, but you may be contacted in response to a critical incident or outage and are expected to answer or return communication. This job requires travel and overnight stays (for up to 1 week at a time). Mandatory prerequisites Honest, hardworking, reliable. Good communication skills. Have capacity to project beyond the immediate task. Effective time management. Requirements Ability to work flexible rosters including weekends. Full Australian work rights. Physical capability to work in a demanding environment. No contact with chickens or pigs at home. Approximate commencement dates are early January 2026 and the contract lasts 2 years. The farms operate 24/7, and you may be required to work any day of the week and at any hour of the day. You will receive a minimum of 76 hours per fortnight worked. Your hourly rate is $26.79 per hour plus penalties where applicable as per the Farm Pride Foods Limited Victorian Farms Enterprise Agreement 2014. Additional duties and responsibilities are expected from time to time provided they are within your skills, training, education and experience. There is potential to up‑skill and training is provided. You do not have to be an Australian citizen to apply for this work, but you will need to be on a valid working Visa. Review upon arrival to site. Successful candidates must complete a Quarantine Declaration and agree to the biosecurity measures which include: Prohibition from ownership of any type of avian species (e.g. no poultry or birds of any type) or pigs.
