This is a hands‑on Senior Management Accountant role where you’ll own the financial performance and reporting across a large and complex services contract, working closely with the client, operational leaders and internal finance stakeholders. This role begins on a 9-month contract through to September, aligning with contract renewal, with a strong opportunity for extension or transition to permanent depending on contract outcomes and performance. The Opportunity You’ll be the key finance partner for a significant client portfolio, covering a large network of corporate and retail sites. This is a broad role with strong exposure to commercial performance, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and client‑facing reporting. You’ll manage the month‑end process with support from a Finance Assistant who handles journals and transactional activity, while you focus on analysis, review and stakeholder engagement. You’ll also play a central role in client meetings, presenting financial updates and performance insights — so confidence, clarity and the ability to push back when needed will be important. Key Responsibilities Own month‑end reporting, P&L, balance sheet and cashflow performance for the portfolio Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, including scenario and run‑rate analysis Prepare monthly management reporting packs including variance commentary and forward projections Present financial insights to both internal stakeholders and the external client Maintain spending and cost trackers to ensure contract delivery remains on budget Manage commercial performance elements including KPI‑linked financial outcomes Support and guide the Finance Assistant as the primary on‑the‑ground finance lead Ensure governance, internal controls and contract compliance are upheld Build strong working relationships across finance, operations, client contacts and suppliers About You Qualified or near‑qualified CA / CPA Strong management accounting experience in a contract‑based, service‑oriented or asset‑intensive environment Comfortable presenting financial performance to senior stakeholders High‑level Excel capability and data‑driven mindset Commercially aware, with the ability to challenge and influence where needed Calm under pressure, resilient and confident working with demanding stakeholders Why This Role Stands Out $120,000 + Super (Equivalent for contract term) Strong opportunity to convert to permanent following contract renewal Significant client exposure — build stakeholder presence and influence Backed by a supportive Finance Manager and broader commercial leadership Hybrid work : Macquarie Park office, minimum 3 days onsite Full handover provided to set you up for success If you’re a proactive, relationship‑led Senior Management Accountant who enjoys end‑to‑end ownership, partnering with operations and presenting to clients — this is an excellent opportunity to step into a visible, business‑critical role with long‑term potential. #J-18808-Ljbffr
