We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic candidates to commence a Commercial Cookery (Chef) Apprenticeship Multiple opportunities in and around the Sunshine Coast This position offers the opportunity to work under several highly qualified Chefs in a very fast paced industry. The perfect opportunity for hardworking individuals who are eager to commence a rewarding career in cooking and who possess a genuine passion for the culinary arts. If you have a positive attitude, a great work ethic and a willingness to learn apply now If successful You will be working full time 38 hours per week while studying a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery & upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be a qualified Chef. Total apprenticeship term : 3 years You will be placed with one of our host employers, where you will work alongside experienced chefs to learn the skills and techniques required to become a qualified commercial cook. Immediate start available Recent school leavers & Out of Trade apprentices are also encouraged to apply Duties may include, but not limited to Assist with the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals for our customers, in accordance with our menu and recipes. Learn how to manage the kitchen, including stock control, ordering, and food preparation schedules. Adhere to all health and safety standards, including food hygiene and sanitation. Work closely with the team to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard. Learn to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment. Any other tasks requested by the host employer Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria Have a real passion for food Be eligible to complete an apprenticeship Demonstrate a great attitude and willingness to work Be motivated with a positive attitude Be reliable, punctual and able to demonstrate initiative Be well presented Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
