The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of all Victorians. About the role The Policy Officer, Strategic Policy & Evidence will support a range of project management and policy development functions. The policy officer will be required to contribute material to papers, presentations and other documentation, as well as assist in managing stakeholders such as through direct engagement, arranging meetings, preparing papers, conducting surveys or research in support of the priority projects for the Department of Health. Key responsibilities include: Contributing to the completion of projects and managing tasks efficiently. Integrating feedback to continuously improve work. Ensuring that deadlines are met and a high standard of presentations, analysis, project plans and written communication is achieved. Supporting the strategic and operational goals of the Victorian Government. Role requirements: Highly organised and methodical with a communicative and collaborative approach. Initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision. About you Demonstrated experience or qualifications in project management and/or policy development is desirable. Basic knowledge of data and financial modelling, economic evaluation and/or cost-benefit analysis is desirable.
