About the Role A nationally recognised leader in hydraulic systems and fluid transfer solutions is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and continuously improve workshop and warehouse operations. The business has recently undergone a positive restructure, including the appointment of a new General Manager focused on restoring stability, building strong foundations and driving sustainable growth. This Operations Manager role is critical to that journey and will play a key leadership role in shaping how operations perform and scale. This position is ideally suited to an operational leader who has successfully turned around underperforming workshops or manufacturing operations into efficient, high‑performing environments. You will focus on building strong leaders, creating predictable and scalable operations, and delivering consistently high standards of safety, quality and on‑time delivery. Success in this role is achieved through people, systems and structure—not by personally running day‑to‑day jobs. As the business continues to grow, there is a future opportunity to move into a larger facility, with this role playing a key part in the design and layout of the new workshop and warehouse. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach and develop Workshop and Warehouse Leads Own end‑to‑end operational performance and delivery Ensure strong safety leadership and WHS compliance Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025 (NATA) and applicable API standards Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, productivity and cost Oversee inventory control, assets, equipment and facilities About You Proven operations leadership experience in a technical or industrial environment Strong people leadership and performance management skills Knowledge of hydraulic / industrial hose assembly and testing Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and NATA requirements Calm, decisive, data‑driven leader who develops others Desirable Mechanical trade or Certificate II Engineering API Q1 / API 7K exposure Formal leadership or management training What We Offer $100k – $140k base + super Stable, long‑term opportunity with consistent workloads Supportive team and well‑maintained workshop / equipment Opportunities for career development and additional certifications What Success Looks Like Stable daily operations run by capable leaders, predictable delivery and audit outcomes, and a strong culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
