Purpose That Counts - some of your responsibilities will include: We’re looking for a Track and Civil Lead to drive excellence in project delivery and innovation at Queensland Rail. In this role, you’ll lead a team of professionals, provide expert engineering advice, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will also; Lead and advise on track and civil engineering projects, ensuring quality, safety, and strong commercial outcomes. Coach and mentor teams, fostering innovation and continuous improvement. Build strong stakeholder relationships and communicate with impact to support successful project delivery. Ensure compliance with professional standards and quality systems. Drive achievement of project targets and performance measures while promoting collaboration and teamwork. People Who Count – What you will bring Strong skills in the design, renewal, implementation, testing, and commissioning of infrastructure such as HV traction, signalling, track and civil works, telecommunications. Proven experience leading and developing teams of engineers and technical professionals. Ability to deliver practical, business‑focused engineering solutions that create value in track and civil disciplines. Skilled in guiding multi‑disciplinary teams to achieve sustainable outcomes in a complex regulatory environment. Experience driving business improvements and leveraging technology to deliver commercial advantage. Strong understanding of statutory, regulatory, and policy requirements, with a commitment to safety, environmental standards, and sound business practices.
