Senior Clinician Access and Consultation (RPN4/SW3/OT3) - Adult Community Mental Health Join to apply for the Senior Clinician Access and Consultation (RPN4/SW3/OT3) - Adult Community Mental Health role at Alfred Health. On 1 January 2026, Alfred Health will merge with Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service to create Bayside Health, a newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The new service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives and strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health. Permanent, Full‑Time (80 hrs + ADO) Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 4, or Social Worker/Occupational Therapist Grade 3 Located at St Kilda Rd Clinic with travel required Frequent professional development opportunities and regular professional supervision Department Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is responsible for the operation of services which focus on people with a mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne. About the Role The newly integrated Adult and Older Adult Service combines AMAH Adult Community Mental Health and Caulfield Aged and Liaison Psychiatry Services to provide comprehensive, person‑centred support for adults and older adults. We offer a wide range of therapeutic, addiction, trauma‑informed, and family violence services. In line with the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health recommendations and the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022, we are expanding our services to provide specialised expertise and broad‑spectrum care, including pathways for substance use, rehabilitation, recovery, and trauma‑focused care. Our approach focuses on integrated treatment, education, peer support, care planning, and navigation, supporting individuals at every stage of their recovery journey. You’ll have the opportunity to work in areas such as: Navigations and Continuing Care: Brief Intervention, Access and Intake, CMHT, Physical Health, and Family Services Adult Rehabilitation and Recovery: MSTS, CCU, PARC, HOPS, and SECU Aged/Older Adult Mental Health: MAPS, Caulfield Hospital Community Liaison, and inpatient units Wellbeing and Therapeutic Services: Psychological Trauma and Capacity Building initiatives What You’ll Be Doing You will join a team of four other Senior Clinicians and a Senior Mental Health Support Worker who work together to provide the AMAH Adult service with a single point of entry for consumers between the age of 25 – 65. You will assess referrals and will assist with short‑term support, consultations and liaison with the community. Your team is responsible for providing face‑to‑face one‑off assessments as well as secondary consultation and education to primary health providers. The team assists with internal referrals and the movement of consumers throughout the community program. About You Approved tertiary qualifications and registration with either the Nurses and Midwives Board or Occupational Therapy Board via AHPRA; or eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers Significant full‑time clinical experience and postgraduate qualifications desirable, including demonstrated interest in continual learning opportunities Substantial experience in a mental health‑based context, preferably in community settings Mandatory: Current Victorian Driver Licence Previous work within an acute community mental health setting, and Drug and Alcohol experience is highly regarded Australian working rights and current Influenza vaccination What’s In It For You Portable long service leave from other public health services, Fitness Passport (Discounted subscription membership at numerous gyms across Melbourne), supportive multi‑disciplinary team environment, located close to public transport and cafes, great employment benefits as part of Alfred Health – Wellbeing initiatives, car parking (subject to availability), onsite gym, childcare services, access to salary packaging, novated leasing and discounted health insurance and banking.
