Heavy Diesel Mechanic – Rooty Hill NSW Monday-Friday | $75 per hour Shift Times Available: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM About the Company Our client, based in Blacktown NSW and operating out of Rooty Hill, is currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join their growing team. About the Role This role involves maintenance, servicing, and repair for a fleet of heavy vehicles, plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety and compliance within regulations. It involves conducting preventative and corrective maintenance, diagnosing mechanical faults, and maintaining accurate service logs. Shift & Pay Location: Rooty Hill NSW Hours: Monday-Friday, 1:00 PM-9:30 PM Rate: $75 per hour Duties Conduct scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance of heavy vehicles, trucks, plant and equipment Identify worn, damaged or malfunctioning components and perform necessary repairs or replacements, and fabrication when necessary. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to test repaired vehicles and ensure compliance within manufacturer specifications Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment in accordance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies Ensure workshop tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored Assist in managing spare parts inventory and ordering required parts Skills & Experience MANDATORY Trade Certificate in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or equipment qualification Minimum 5 years’ experience in servicing, diagnosing, and repairing heavy vehicles, trucks, and mobile plant Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems Experience with diagnostic tools and electronic control modules (ECMs) Current HR Driver's Licence or willingness to obtain Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Strong record-keeping and administrative skills for maintaining service logs Understanding of Work Health & Safety (WHS) regulations and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) DESIRABLE Heavy Vehicle Registration Inspector (HVRAS or HVIS) Welding and fabrication experience First Aid Certification Previous experience in a Heavy Diesel fleet maintenance environment Perks & Benefits Strong salary Long-term, stable opportunity Great work-life balance How to Apply If this sounds like the opportunity you’ve been searching for, please submit your application along with an up-to-date résumé. #J-18808-Ljbffr
