The Role You will work closely with site leaders and teams to uphold HSE standards and contribute to achieving our safety goals. You will provide guidance on regulatory compliance, conduct site audits, lead risk assessments, be a visible safety leader and support the implementation of HSE systems and initiatives. This role involves regular travel to sites in Regional Western Australia and requires a hands‑on approach to working with key leaders and identifying improvement opportunities, managing HSE projects, and ensuring safe operations. What You’ll Do Partner with operational leaders to provide HSE advice and ongoing practical support. Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments. Lead and participate in incident investigations using established methodologies. Support the implementation and improvement of HSE systems and processes. Provide HSE training, coaching, and mentoring to employees and contractors. Draft incident reports, lessons learned bulletins, hazard alerts, and other documentation. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and project‑manage HSE deliverables. What You’ll Bring Qualifications in OH&S, HSE or a related discipline (or equivalent experience), Diploma of WHS or relevant industry experience, coupled with strong knowledge of HSE legislation and management systems. Experience in risk assessment and incident investigation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and educate stakeholders at all levels. Ideally, you will have experience within the mining sector. Your project management and organisational skills enable you to drive HSE initiatives effectively. A valid driver’s licence is required, and you must be able to obtain a WA Explosives Security Clearance.
