Consultant Engineer – NAB Join us on an exciting journey to transform NAB’s platforms. Drive the design, development, and delivery of robust banking products such as Term Deposits and Savings Accounts while building scalable, configurable features that align engineering outcomes with strategic business objectives. Responsibilities Drive key initiatives within NAB’s strategic transformation programs. Partner with senior technology and business leaders to deliver lasting impact. Work in a collaborative environment with highly talented and motivated colleagues that are passionate about winning together. Design, develop, test, deploy, and continuously improve software solutions. Coaching and mentoring of team members to uplift skills and knowledge. Execute and drive hands‑on design, software development, and implementation of banking ledger products. Maintain an understanding of best practice initiatives within own specialist area and IT in general, continually seeking relevant industry and technical knowledge. Work as an effective team member, supporting peers and recognising contributions to achieve team goals. Demonstrate and provide professional and ethical behaviour, ensuring compliance with external legislation, bank standards, and internal operating policies and procedures. Ensure all personal training records are maintained and kept up to date, take reasonable care for own health and safety, as well as that of others and conform with all internal operating procedures. Qualifications / What You Will Bring Demonstrated technology experience in application development and/or support roles using languages such as Java or Python. Experience with automated testing tools and practices. Technical domain experience (e.g., SME, Technology, or Tools). CI/CD tools such as Harness, Ansible, Terraform.
