Food Services Assistant - Casual (Healthscope) Northern Beaches Hospital Food Service team is looking to employ casual Food Services Assistants to join their busy department ASAP. You will work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment that strives to deliver outstanding healthcare to our patients. Responsibilities Assist in preparation of food trays for patient consumption. Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays in accordance with established meal schedules. Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly. Clean and sanitize food service equipment in accordance with hospital and industry food safety and hygiene standards. Selection Criteria Current Food Processing Certificate Level 1 (working towards or willing to attain). Prior experience in Healthcare Food Services. Passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Demonstrated ability to work without supervision as well as part of a team. Excellent time management skills. Flexible to work a variety of shifts – early/late shifts and weekend work. Compensation and Shift Loading $29.21 per hour plus 25% casual loading and superannuation. Early afternoon shifts – 10% extra. Mid afternoon shifts – 12.5% extra. Nightshift – 15% extra. Weekend penalty rates: Saturday – 50% loading, Sunday – 75% loading. Required Background Checks Current National Police check (12 months or less). NSW Working with Children’s Check.
