Bids & Pursuits Advisor

About the Role and Team We have a new opportunity for a Bids & Pursuits Advisor to join our growing national Business Development, Marketing & Communications (BDM&C) team at Hall & Wilcox. The BDM&C section is a national team of specialists in client engagement, branding, bid management, copywriting, event strategy, digital marketing and media relations. This role will support the Bids & Pursuits Manager on all bids and pursuits, including tenders, capability statements, proposals, pitch documents and presentations. The position can be based across any of our office locations, including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Newcastle, Adelaide, Canberra and Darwin. Key Responsibilities Track pipeline activities, bid progress and win/loss trends, providing insights and reporting to senior management as requested. Manage the end‑to‑end process for tenders and proposals allocated to you. Collaborate with the Bids & Pursuits Manager to develop win themes and communicate these to the tender team. Undergo Bid/No‑Bid decisions where appropriate. Draft, edit, proof and ensure compliance of bid submissions, arranging proper submission. Lead and implement timeline processes with the tender team, instructing all required contributors. Coaching and mentoring partners and tender teams for ‘beauty parade’ presentations and related materials. Conduct debriefs on submissions. Transfer information from the tender process to central documents (Content Library, CRM) and update CVs, website, etc. Award/Directory submissions. Work with Communications and BD & Marketing teams on firm award and international directory submissions, liaising with partners and corporate services. Update credentials and information on profiles, website, CVs and the CRM with all bid content. Maintain accurate filing of all completed bids. Contribute to BD, Marketing & Comms reports and support the delivery of strategic objectives. Provide general support to the Director of BD, Marketing & Communications and the wider team as required. About You At least 3 years of experience as a Bids and Pursuits Advisor or Coordinator, preferably in the legal or professional services industry. Degree in Marketing, Business or a related qualification. Proven experience managing legal bid processes within a Bids & Pursuits team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suites (essential). Ability to multi‑task and meet tight deadlines. Proactive problem‑solving abilities.
