Orana has played a vital role in supporting South Australians with disability for over 70 years. We deliver employment, housing, training, short term accommodation, skill development programs and life skills support to over 650 South Australians with disability. About The Position Reporting to the Service Manager, this position will be responsible for mentoring a team of Client Coaches (Support Workers) to ensure that they are working within the services, to assist clients in achieving their individual goals. As a Team Leader you will be able to apply “person centred’ support principles and practices and adhere to all NDIS plans or service agreements. You will be responsible for motivating, developing, and inspiring a team of client coaches, through your strong application of conflict management and communication skills. It will be expected that as a Team Leader, you will conduct all works in line with NDIS Code of Conduct, and Orana Policies and Procedures. About You Our ideal candidates will be a proactive and inspiring leader with a strong background as a Support Worker. You will have a passion for the disability sector and be able to build a motivated and dedicated team. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a positive attitude and be an approachable leader that will provide a supportive team culture. Position Responsibilities Ensure Client Coaches are delivering a high standard of person-centred care. Conduct bi-monthly supervisions with Client Coaches. Work with the team to improve client experiences. Ensure staff attend meetings and attend to their mandatory training requirements. Work with clients and staff to reduce/eliminate restrictive practices. Work with the Service Managers to ensure client needs are always met. Work with and encourage clients to maintain personal hygiene and advocate for their personal goals. Identify and manage poor performing staff with the Service Manager. Document daily case notes in Orana’s electronic database. Daily authorisation of the team’ timesheets. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience A minimum of Certificate IV in Individual Support or equivalent. Demonstrated experience in leading teams, preferred. Ability to provide strong leadership and inspire and motivate staff. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A positive attitude and able to drive positive change. Hold a current NDIS Worker Check or equivalent. Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate. Hold a current Manual Handling certificate Have your own car and a full unrestricted driver’s licence. #J-18808-Ljbffr
