Opening in early 2026, the café located at the WACA Ground is seeking a Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen team and bring bold, seasonal flavours to life with a strong knowledge of European cooking techniques and fresh ingredients. How You’ll Make an Impact Manage the daily kitchen operations Train, schedule, and mentor kitchen team members to maintain a cohesive and motivated kitchen environment In conjunction with the Head Chef, design and regularly update a seasonal, café‑style menu that balances creativity, nutrition, and customer preferences Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager on pricing, portion control, and specials Generate creative input for daily specials and seasonal promotions to support business growth Lead the ordering and purchasing of stock Oversee and participate in food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistent quality and presentation Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in compliance with regulations and efficient systems and processes Monitor food inventory, ordering supplies in line with demand and minimising waste Manage food costs and contribute to budget planning, ensuring profitability without compromising quality A great fit for this role looks like Culinary certification or relevant hospitality qualifications Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Head Chef, preferably in a café or casual dining environment Strong leadership and communication skills Creative and passionate about food trends, particularly in the café and brunch scene Strong organisational skills to manage a high functioning team and rosters High level understanding of food safety standards and HACCP Ability to manage budget to reach profitability targets Excellent time management and the ability to perform under pressure Here’s what you can look forward to Our people benefits include Membership passes to all cricket games at the WACA Ground and at Optus Stadium, onsite gym access, Birthday Leave, salary packaging, employee recognition program, discounts on cricket merchandise, corporate health insurance discount, corporate partner discounts, flexible work arrangements, professional development opportunities and more Want to join our team?
