Dining Concepts is a multi-cuisine restaurant group and is an aligned partner with Far East Consortium Australia. Established in 2020, our vision is to celebrate the best of the world’s cuisine in unique dining destinations across Australia. This role is based in HUA restaurant, located in Brisbane CBD. Step into HUĀ, where tradition meets innovation in Brisbane’s dining scene. HUA's menu celebrates Chinese cuisine, blending progressive techniques with the finest ingredients to craft signature dishes that honor both ancient and modern China. About the Role This role, reporting to the Restaurant Manager, is responsible for welcoming and guiding each guest through their experience, maintaining a high standard of service & restaurant upkeep whilst managing group bookings and events. Main responsibilities include but are not limited to: Warmly welcoming guests as they arrive, providing a positive first impression of the business Taking reservations, ensuring efficient table assignments while considering guest preferences, escorting guests to their table, managing waitlists, and informing them of wait times as necessary. Engage customers throughout their dining experience, addressing any needs or concerns. Answering phone calls, take reservations, & respond to guests inquired. Management of event & group bookings from initial contact through booking process to being the arrival point of contact on the day. Ensuring the restaurant is well-prepared for each shift. (Lunch & Dinner). Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulation, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. Ensuring group bookings or special occasion bookings are proactively managed with upsell opportunities prior to day off dining. Have knowledge of our food & wine menu – provide information about daily special & promotions. Your Profile Part-Time commitment, 4 days a week. Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster RSA Certificate required Must be able to communicate clearly in English. Prior experience as a Host or Wait Staff is desirable. Must have full working rights in Australia and currently live in Australia. Why work for us?
