Align Ability Support Services Pty Ltd – Clyde VIC Disability Support Worker - Complex needs - Cranbourne & South East Melbourne Location: Clyde, VicHours: Casual, set fortnightly roster (hours between 9am-7pm) About Align Ability Align Ability is a dedicated NDIS provider delivering high-quality, person-centered support to clients with diverse and complex needs since 2018. The Role We’re seeking a mature, reliable Disability Support Worker to join our team, providing exceptional care to a client with complex, high-support needs in Clyde. You’ll work a set fortnightly roster (shifts of varying lengths between 9am-7pm) to deliver consistent, safe, and compassionate support, ensuring our client’s health and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 support to a client with complex needs, including PEG feeding & medication administration and personal care (e.g., hygiene, hoist transfers). Implement NDIS care plans with a focus on safety, dignity, and client goals. Monitor and respond to medical incidents, following trained protocols. Build trusting relationships with the client and their family, maintaining clear communication. Document care activities accurately for NDIS compliance. Work collaboratively with a small, dedicated team to ensure continuity. Qualifications Minimum Certificate IV in Disability, or current student in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Pathology (2nd year or above). Experience Proven experience supporting clients with complex and high needs (e.g., epilepsy, neurological conditions, high physical support). Skills Trained or willing to be trained in PEG feeding. Strong observational and emergency response skills to manage medical risks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for family engagement. Attributes Mature and reliable, with a demonstrated ability to adhere to a set roster and respond promptly to client needs. Calm under pressure, with a compassionate, person-centered approach. Values-driven, with a personality fit for building trust with clients and families (e.g., patient, empathetic, professional). Availability Able to commit to a set fortnightly roster with shifts between 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Compliance Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, and First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle. Experience with NDIS documentation and reporting. Training in manual handling, PEG feeding, and medication administration. Familiarity with supporting young adults with physical disabilities.
