We are searching for someone passionate about food and cooking honest pub food with flare The role will be reporting to the Head Chef and play a key role in the success, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and has positive 'can-do' attitude. Cook with accuracy and passion Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain high-quality standards Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations Contribute to menu development with fresh and innovative ideas Adhering to all relevant WHS laws Monitor portion control, waste minimization, and stock control Maintaining a premium and consistent approach to all levels of food and service delivery ABOUT YOU If you thrive in a team environment, are open to new challenges, and enjoy working in a diverse environment, then we'd love to have you on our team Min. 2 years experience in a similar role Cooking qualifications are desirable Modern, contemporary, and innovative culinary skills Knowledge of food and catering trends Considers quality, technique, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation critical to success Delivers a high-quality product that exceeds customer expectations Able to work autonomously as required and remain calm under pressure to ensure professionalism is maintained Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people (suppliers, customers, employees, and management) Have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a calm and methodical manner PERKS Award rates plus superannuation Meal discounts at all our hotels Opportunities for growth and development Flexibility where possible APPLICATIONS Only applicants who live in or near Whyalla, South Australia, will be considered.
