Job Overview Your focus as Head Chef will be to manage and lead a culinary team that provides nutritionally balanced, comprehensive, and high-quality culinary service, contributing to the overall well‐being of the residents while staying within budget. Responsibilities Prepare modified diets that are appealing, well‑balanced, and in accordance with IDDSI guidance. Place food orders with approved suppliers, maintaining appropriate stock levels and purchasing quality provisions within agreed budget limits. Supervise and direct kitchen staff and the Host team, instructing and demonstrating simple food preparation activities to unqualified staff. Practice safe systems of work across all tasks, assessing risk and ensuring personal safety for residents, visitors, and staff. Shift details 07:30–16:00, including alternate weekends. About You To be successful, you must live our values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability in all that you do. Qualifications and Experience Two years' experience managing a culinary team in the care or hospitality sectors. Relevant catering qualification such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ. Evidence of passion and commitment to delivering high‑quality culinary standards to residents. Ability to control a budget. Requirements A DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare). Proof of eligibility to work in the UK. Completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service check (Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975).
