Let’s make a meaningful difference, togetherThe Job Coach is responsible for supporting the achievement of high quality employment outcomes for young people with a disability through delivery of UnitingCare’s Project SEARCH Transition-to-Work Program. The Project SEARCH program is a unique, business-led, one-year employment preparation program that takes place entirely at a Host Workplace. This role will see you:Work in partnership with the leadership team and host sites, developing a range of internships designed to teach Interns competitive and marketable skills that are transferrable to jobs within the community Work with the leadership team to identify, assess and select eligible young Complete a range of assessments to determine Intern capacity, support requirements and areas for skill development barriers and develop their skillsCertificate IV in Employment Services, Disability Services, Community Services or other relevant qualification (or lesser formal qualification with experience in a similiar role) Demonstrated experience in successful, culturally sensitive case management and planning practices related to people with a disabilityHigh level written and verbal communication skills demonstrated by the ability to relate well to all peopleAbility to work effectively and constructively across a range of stakeholders, including the business sector, community members and organisations.*Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and therefore may result in the role closing early if the right applicant is found.***A recognition and rewards platform**, providing employee discounts at hundreds of retailers, including everyday expenses, holidays, health insurance, annual awards celebration, wellbeing and employee assistance programs We’re on a mission to make a meaningful difference every day, working with thousands of Australians to ensure they live life in all its fullness.
