We are looking for a collaborative and team‑oriented Maintenance Fitter to join our Engineering Team at Pipe Road, Laverton North. In this role, you will be performing predictive, preventive, corrective and proactive maintenance on equipment across our plant. Benefits Regular consistent hours Full Private Health Included Enterprise Agreement Role Share Plan (Shares in Nufarm) Great Team and above Award Rates Responsibilities Ensure that required work has appropriate Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety & Environmental Analysis (JSEA), Take 5, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Management of Change (MOC). Perform duties and work assigned on daily schedule to a high standard in 5S, safety, environmental, and quality requirements. Work will include machining, piping / equipment installation, prepare pressure vessels and heat exchangers for maintenance and repairs, centrifugal and air diaphragm pump overhauls, dry break coupling overhauls, mechanical seal overhauls, valve/gearbox overhauls, pump alignment, PVC piping. Take ownership of workload and through communication with supervisor and complete maintenance jobs ensuring efficient use of resources. Contribute to a culture of continual improvement by participating/practising 5S, toolbox meetings or investigations to improve equipment reliability. Help maintain records of equipment spares and repairs undertaken using Maintenance software. Prepare pre‑work pack before commencing work, i.e., scoping, JSEA preparation, job checklists etc. to ensure efficient completion of tasks. Ensure the workshops are kept to a high standard of housekeeping and perform 5S audits. Qualifications Qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitter/Machinist with demonstrable experience with maintenance teams in chemical industry or similar (DG Goods/Schedule 14). Problem solver who has a commitment to continuous improvement activities while being safety conscious and well versed in appropriate safety standards. Willing to go through training for Confined Space Entry ticket. Forklift operator licence desirable but not mandatory.
