Finance Officer – Full-time or Part-time About Us Jamukurnu Yapalikurnu Aboriginal Corporation (JYAC) is the Prescribed Body Corporate (PBC) for the Martu people, holding and managing their Native Title rights and interests. Join JYAC and use your finance skills to make a real impact for Martu people and communities. We’re looking for a hands‑on Finance Officer who loves spreadsheets, accuracy, and getting things done. You’ll work across the organisation — from corporate finance to heritage and tenement management — supporting strong governance, grant compliance and multi‑project financial management. You will manage financial information in Xero , build and refine budget and reporting models, and provide high-quality analysis that supports decision‑making for the CEO, managers and the Board. What you’ll do Maintain and update financial records in Xero, including reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable and project tracking. Complete grant budgets, acquittals and track funding compliance. Assist with organisational, project and heritage program budgets and forecasting. Deliver clear, accurate financial reports for managers and the Board. Support audit processes and help improve financial systems and procedures. Support finance team members with payroll processing and accounts payable/receivable functions. What you bring Experience working with Xero (intermediate to advanced). Highly skilled in Excel and spreadsheets (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis). A passion for data, analysis and accuracy. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines. High levels of attention to detail and professional integrity. Excellent finance and accounting skills with strong attention to detail. Be part of a supportive, respectful and high‑performing team.
