Lead Ecologist (Natural Capital Project Delivery) Renovo Ag is hiring Due to sustained business growth, we’re looking for a Lead Ecologist (Natural Capital Project Delivery) to join our team. This is a unique role based in Orange, NSW (other locations considered), working across environmental planting projects , NSW biodiversity offset sites , and the emerging Nature Repair Market Australia-wide. We welcome applications from senior practitioners , as well as early-career ecologists who are NSW BAM accredited and have a genuine interest in natural capital. About Renovo Ag Renovo Ag is an independent advisory firm with a mission to help producers access natural capital markets. We work closely with Landcare , producer groups , and corporate agriculture to integrate biodiversity and carbon projects into farming businesses. Why work with us? Work on a diverse portfolio of carbon and biodiversity projects across Australia, with exposure to multiple natural capital methodologies Help Australian producers meaningfully integrate environmental stewardship into their businesses Play a key role in box-gum woodland restoration on farms and support greater participation in small-scale environmental plantings What you’ll be doing Supporting Environmental Planting project design, including restoration planning and site assessments Delivering Biodiversity Stewardship Site Assessment Reports (BSSARs) under the NSW Biodiversity Offsets Scheme (BOS) Conducting field surveys, including BAM plots and vegetation mapping Delivering assessments under the Nature Repair Market Supporting field days , farm planning workshops, and landholder extension events Preparing reports, collecting and managing data, and undertaking spatial data analysis What you’ll bring NSW BAM Assessor accreditation under the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 Strong NSW focused field botany skills, including identification, and sound knowledge of threatened species and ecological communities Proven capability with NSW vegetation classification , flora/fauna survey methods, and spatial mapping Experience preparing environmental reports and management plans Drivers license and ability to undertake remote fieldwork across Australia A genuine passion for sustainable agriculture and supporting producers in natural resource management Strong written and verbal communication skills What we offer 5 weeks paid annual leave A competitive remuneration package Mentorship and support from industry leaders in carbon and biodiversity assessment An outcomes-focused workplace where we genuinely care about progressing agriculture and environmental stewardship How to apply Reach out to Simon Campbell ***) or Dr Grant Tranter ***) to have a confidential discussion about the role Please forward your application including a cover letter addressing the role requirements to *******@renovoag.com.au #J-18808-Ljbffr
