Maintenance Technician (Mechanical Fitter) (JR- ) Tarneit, Melbourne, Australia THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians with strong industrial mechanical fitter experience to join our team. These roles are based in Tarneit, Melbourne, and will be at the forefront of servicing a brand-new, large-scale automated warehouse for our customer. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a major project from the initial installation and commissioning stages through to operational go-live. You will provide high-level technical support, including preventative maintenance and troubleshooting to resolve incidents and breakdowns. You will get to work on industry-leading material handling equipment such as automated storage and retrieval systems, conveyors, racking, and robotics. Initial working hours: Day shifts, Monday to Friday. WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON Trouble-shoot, problem solve, diagnose and repair mechanical faults Carry out equipment audits and preventative maintenance tasks Build and fit mechanical components, ensuring precise alignment and functionality. Diagnose and fix faults in drive systems, wheels, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Collaborate with electrical and software teams to synchronize mechanical components with automation systems. Maintain detailed records of maintenance, inspections, and technical feedback.
