Business Services Group is responsible for the provision of banking and payments services to Australian Government agencies, the provision of payment settlement services to Australian financial system participants through the Reserve Bank Information and Transfer System (RITS) and the Fast Settlement Service (FSS), the conduct of Exchange Settlement Accounts and the production and issuance of Australian banknotes. About the role We are looking for an experienced Test Lead - Non-Functional Testing who will be part of an FSS Platform program which involves key enhancements to NPP technology and/or infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring the successful non-functional testing of applications being migrated, ensuring seamless functionality within the modernized infrastructure. The role will require leading team members ensuring coverage of various NFT area and demonstrating leadership skills to wider stakeholders. An excellent opportunity to demonstrate next level of non-functional test management skills Key objectives Collaborate with project stakeholders, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements and acceptance criteria. Develop, review, and execute non-functional test plans, test cases, and scripts to validate application and infrastructure change outcomes. Ensure comprehensive test coverage for applications/infrastructure, identifying and mitigating risks to quality. Implement NFT Test strategies and plans that are appropriate to address the risk and complexity of the projects or initiatives. Conduct end-to-end and regression testing (NFT) for applications impacted by migration activities. Maintain, execute test automation suites (NFT), and report findings proactively. Maintain test data and ensure environment conflicts are minimized through pro-active management. Log, track, and manage defects through to resolution, working closely with the development and migration teams. Provide detailed test execution reports, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders. Provide second-level support to PS Operations and PS Settlements, including training, handover, and support documentation. Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies. About you Proven expertise and experience in non-functional testing, especially performance testing and failover testing. Expertise in implementing non-functional testing frameworks and tools. Proficient in running performance testing and monitoring tools such as JMeter , AppDynamics and Kibana. Extensive experience in planning, management, support and testing of non-functional changes to mission critical systems. Experience with the NPP platform/Payments Technology and concepts related to payments testing is advantageous. Ability to analyse migration impacts and translate them into effective test cases. Advanced experience in payments and settlements systems, services, and operations. Basic understanding of infrastructure modernisation concepts, even if not directly involved in infrastructure testing is highly preferred. Experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams in complex program environments. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in identifying and resolving defects. Effective communication skills to effectively articulate test results and issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Highly desirable : Non-functional testing skills in Data Migration/ETL/DWH space.
