Server Engineer Database, SQL Specialist

Job Description: Australian Citizens With NV1 Clearance residing in Australia only respond Contract start ASAP to 6 months, 2 x 12 months extensions. Over 10 years experience in designing, implementing and supporting large scale, geographically distributed systems on a SQL Server platform. Strong SQL skills, with experience in data management, warehouse, ETL, data quality and/or data visualization. Experience designing SQL for Fault tolerance and recovery procedures. Advanced skills in database administration, performance analysis, tuning, index optimization, maintenance plans, etc. Experience in syncing and coalescing large volumes of data from multiple sources over intermittent network connections. Experience in analyzing/profiling data sources as part of dataset development, building data pipelines, and deploying data transformations. Detailed knowledge of different cyber security and data protection technologies. Experience in developing solutions for private cloud or tenancy. Deep understanding of attribute-based access control and security assurance. Basic understanding of Hypervisor/Hyper-Converged Infrastructure, Active Directory, PKI certificate services, and micro-segmentation. Ability to take requirements, standards, and frameworks and apply them in a practical application to future proposed solution designs and systems. Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment to meet changing deadlines and shifting priorities. Experience in developing highly available/fault tolerant systems, networks, and infrastructure in a connected, partially connected, degraded, or often disconnected state. Desirable Skills and Experience Experience working within the Defence environment. Knowledge and skills in the design, implementation, and configuration of automation and orchestration technologies and services, for example Ansible, Git, Scripting. Ability to rapidly build, automate, and deliver proof of concept systems to support analysis, testing, accreditation and development activities, preferably within a DevSecOps process. #J-18808-Ljbffr
