Project Officer - Climate and Sustainability Project Officer - Climate and Sustainability Permanent Role, Up to Full-Time (1.0 FTE) till June 2026 and Part-Time (0.6 FTE) from July 2026. Salary Range - $96,579 to $103,296 (depending on skills and experience) plus superannuation full-time equivalent Do you have a passion for climate, sustainability and making a difference to the community? The Role As the Project Officer, you will provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Manager and the project managers of the Strategic Projects and Climate department. You will have an opportunity to lead or contribute to a variety of projects, like the award winning Mitcham Community Energy Program, the Carbon Management Plan or leading recycling initiatives for solar PV and home battery systems. That role is a part-time role (0.6 FTE) from July 2026 onwards. Up to June 2026 the role can be tailored to your needs, working either part time or full-time. About You: To be successful in this role you will have: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams. A passion for climate and sustainability and/or interest in learning more Demonstrated experience supporting projects in a complex or multidisciplinary environment. Sound knowledge of project coordination principles, including scheduling, reporting and stakeholder engagement. Experience working with diverse internal and external stakeholders in a customer-focused setting. Proficient in the use of ethical artificial intelligence including CoPilot. Familiarity with budget tracking, procurement processes and financial administration. Understanding of records and information management systems and practices. Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing project needs and organisational priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, correspondence and meeting documentation.
