The Opportunity We’re seeking a Service Desk Technical Lead to lead our Service Desk team and deliver high-quality IT support across the business. This newly created role, based in Hobart, suits an experienced IT support professional ready to step into leadership or a current team leader looking to make a meaningful impact. You’ll lead a team of four, oversee daily Service Desk operations, act as the key escalation point for technical issues, and help work through a backlog of requests following our recent merger. You’ll collaborate closely with Technology teams and business stakeholders across Australia to ensure consistent and reliable support. Your Role Lead, mentor, and develop the Service Desk team Manage day-to-day operations and ensure SLA performance Act as the escalation point for complex technical incidents Improve processes and reduce post‑merger backlog Maintain Service Desk documentation and knowledge base Work closely with teams and vendors across Australia Ensure compliance with IT policies, security, and operational standards What You Bring 3–5 years’ experience in IT support (Level 1–2) Strong technical skills across Microsoft 365, MDM, and desktop environments Experience leading, mentoring, or coaching others A customer‑focused, proactive approach to problem solving Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively Why Join MyState?
