For each asset class, ICAP offers e-trading capability, giving clients the option to enter prices and execute trades directly via one of our hybrid electronic trading systems, or to engage with brokers who can identify and negotiate trades Role Overview Responsible for assisting brokers in managing client relationships, leveraging all broking opportunities, closing deals and ensuring details of trades are accurately captured. Assisting in the development and dissemination of “market intelligence and analysis” and helping to support Senior brokers in the development of price and market delivery services. Role Responsibilities Helping to maintain and develop existing client relationships. Assist in the identification of prospective new clients and engage where deemed appropriate. Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of the products and markets in which we participate. Monitor markets and follow financial news and developments Assist in the development and dissemination of “market intelligence and analysis” and helping to support Senior brokers in the development of price and market delivery services Gain full operational knowledge and understanding of the “trade lifecycle” Understand the desk’s business strategy and seek to identify new business opportunities relating to trends, future markets, products and clients Assisting in the on-boarding new clients following the correct process with the Client On-Boarding team Leverage both product and client understanding to Identify internal cross selling opportunities Ensure all market communication is on recorded mediums approved by the company Understand pertinent regulation within the evolving regulatory landscape Support a risk and compliance aware culture and comply with group policies Exercise independent judgement and act with integrity, care, skill and diligence to avoid conflicts of interest and escalat… Experience / Competences Essential Communicates effectively and efficiently to internal and external stakeholders Build relationships and networks with both internally and externally wherever possible and adapts communication style to suit audience Interested in climate change/impact of renewable energy Existing knowledge around the voluntary carbon market, carbon offsets, carbon credits and renewable certificates Demonstrates strong customer focus Demonstrates ability to work effectively with others Constructively handles disagreements to reach a resolution Demonstrates high levels of energy in seeking out and achieving new goals Shows evidence of being comfortable working in fast paced or pressured environments Enjoys a challenge and is able to escalate Does not give up easily Projects personal credibility Interacts confidently without being overbearing Ability to work effectively in a high pressure environment Keeps emotions under control in difficult situations Handles criticism constructively Professional Integrity Able to demonstrate honesty, integrity and professionalism Works ethically and shows respect for both professional and company values Excellent attention to detail, highly organised with a proactive approach Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills Job Band & Level Professional 4 Not The Perfect Fit?
