About the Opportunity We’re seeking an experienced Shutdown Supervisor to join our growing Queensland team in Mackay. This permanent, full‑time role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who thrives in fast‑paced environments and takes pride in delivering high‑quality work while maintaining the highest safety standards. Key Responsibilities Lead shutdown crews with a hands‑on approach Liaise with clients and internal teams to build strong working relationships Scope pre‑shutdown works to ensure safe and timely execution Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company KPIs Provide tools, resources, and guidance to ensure successful project delivery Complete post‑shutdown reporting, including timesheets and project close‑out Qualifications & Experience Mechanical trade qualification Minimum 5 years’ experience in mining or shutdown environments Proven experience with bulk material handling equipment (e.g., crushers, feeders, scrubbers, belt filters, pumps) At least 2 years in a supervisory role Strong communication and leadership skills Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook); Microsoft Project exposure desirable Current certifications: Mining Supervisor G189 & Risk Facilitator G2 CBM (Coal Board Medical) Standard 11 Confined Space Gas Test Atmospheres Working at Heights What’s On Offer Variety of work across major shutdown projects Long‑term career growth with a reputable company Supportive team culture and leadership As part of the recruitment process, pre‑employment screening may be required, including medical and working rights checks.
