In this role you will be required to provide management of the correctional centre’s health services including prioritising treatment and organising health education programs for offenders and health staff, ensuring the efficient and systematic operation of the health centre and the health services. About your opportunity The centre provides prisoners with meaningful work opportunities in industry and farm work areas which provides skills that can be used by the prisoners on release in the local region. About your role Demonstrated human, financial and material resource management experience. Actively lead, implement and integrate innovation within the work unit, contributing to the use of evidence-based practice to facilitate improved patient outcomes and the achievement of organisational goals. Work collaboratively with peers and others to create a positive practice environment that achieves best practice outcomes for recipients of healthcare services. Responsible for the implementation of a quality and risk management framework to improve quality of care and work environment. Lead and coordinate a nursing/midwifery team and/or healthcare team and oversees and provide clinical support or relevant expertise. Participate in innovation and change to develop responses to address emerging service needs.
