No additional attendance is required for this position.Range 4 is distinguished by broader management responsibility, particularly in the areas of finance, human resource and other support functions. Range 4 is responsible for managing a range of functions under a wide range of conditions, subject to the size and complexity of school operations.Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad and day-to-day direction minimal. Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate support levels are maintained across the school. Range 4 generally provides key support and timely advice to the leadership team and school council and liaises with the general school community, the Department and other government agencies and service providers.Specialised professional roles will carry a high level of independence and accountability where suitable scope is provided to achieve objectives.An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Library operations• Co-ordinate and perform tasks for the efficient day-to-day operation of the library – including but not limited to library systems operations, library management system, equipment, collections, administration, rosters, information help desk, web services, library procedures/ policies and accounts.• Apply information management practices and systems that are consistent with current best practice.• Co-ordinate and participate in major library projects .• Co-ordinate library budget allocations.2. Library and Information Services• Provide a positive, friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming environment.• Engage in strategic planning, policy development and goal setting for library services• Co-ordinate and engage in evaluation, evidence-based practice and continuous improvement of library services• Develop and implement fun and interesting activities that promote the library and encourage students and staff to engage with the library in different ways• Develop and deliver training sessions and instruction in the use of information resources, library technology, information resources, collaborative tools, referencing tools and emerging technologies.
