Join the Civmec Team After securing a very exciting project with Rio Tinto, Civmec are currently seeking experienced Crane Operators to operate a 25T Frana, 80T Rough Terrain and 130T Slewing cranes onsite on a casual basis. These positions will commence in mid-January 2026 and run through until the end of the year. The scope of work being undertaken covers most disciplines performed by Civmec within the maintenance space. The project will comprise of 7 shutdowns over a period of 12 months performing upgrades on the clients' balance machines (2x Reclaimers, 2x Stackers and 2x Shiploaders). Shutdown dates for 2026: 31/01 - 25/02 16/03 - 07/04 25/04 - 17/05 01/06 - 22/06 21/07 - 11/08 24/08 - 21/09 19/10 - 16/11 The Role Responsible for operation of crane used in heavy lifting and transport Responsible for personal safety and safety of co-workers Shows commitment to safety culture through personal behaviour and willingness to influence others Responsible for slings, cables, straps, and the crane prior to lifting operations Perform preventative maintenance as required to ensure safe and continual service of crane Remains in continual voice (radio), hand, and/or communication with rigger while operating the crane Assures that all lifts are within load limits of equipment and correctly rigged Assures that lifting gear is inspected prior to use Follows correct lock-out and tag procedures Operates crane equipment to hoist materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner About You High Risk Work Licence - minimum C0 Australian HR Drivers Licence Construction White Card Work Safely at Heights (within 2 years of issue) MSIC, or the ability to obtain Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and regular / random Drug and Alcohol screens Additional Tickets will be highly regarded Civmec + You At Civmec, we offer an inclusive workplace built on family values, with a ‘Never Assume' culture, sustained by our experienced and supportive management team.
