Base pay range A$140,000.00/yr - A$170,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Mitch & Partners About the Role My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Qualitative Researcher to join their growing insights and strategy team. Acting as 2iC to the Head of Qual & Brand Strategy, this role is ideal for a researcher with up to 10 years of agency experience who is ready to take on greater leadership responsibility. You’ll be responsible for leading and delivering end-to-end qualitative research projects across a range of industries, with a particular focus on financial services, insurance, and retail. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about human behaviour, storytelling, and uncovering insights that influence strategy and brand direction. Key Responsibilities Lead qualitative research projects from brief to delivery, including design, moderation, analysis, and reporting. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, presenting actionable insights that influence strategic decision-making. Support and collaborate closely with the Head of Qual & Brand Strategy, stepping up to lead team initiatives when required. Stay up to date with qualitative methodologies, trends, and industry innovations, integrating them into client solutions. Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are delivered at the highest standard. Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to account growth and business development opportunities. About You Up to 10 years of qualitative research experience within a market research, brand strategy, or insights agency. Proven expertise in end-to-end project management across qualitative research studies. Preferred experience working with financial services, insurance, and retail clients. Skilled in a range of qualitative methods (focus groups, IDIs, ethnography, online communities, etc.). Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities, with a passion for bringing consumer insights to life. Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making.
