The role of Clinical Support Nurse provides support to Nurses who are supervising undergraduate students, those less experienced and newly appointed staff. Responsibilities Assisting with the orientation of undergraduate, graduate and newly appointed nurses. Provide clinical support to undergraduate, graduate and newly appointed and less experienced/novice nurses, prioritising support to cohort and area with greatest development needs. Conduct assessments of undergraduate students as required. Monitoring the performance of the Educators in their support of new staff and provide coaching and constructive feedback. Providing support in clinical areas as directed during times of escalation. Qualifications Hold current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with a postgraduate qualification in your relevant specialty. Completion of Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (or willingness to complete within 12 months) required. Have demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and/or minimum of 5 years’ experience in the relevant area of specialty. Extensive knowledge of clinical support models.
