We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Senior Payroll Officer to join our client on a 6‑month, part‑time contract (0.6 FTE), starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a critical role in the smooth and compliant operation of the organisation's financial function. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities) Process payrolls accurately and on time for all employees. Ensure strict compliance with the Fair Work Act and relevant industrial instruments. Liase with the ATO regarding PAYG withholding and other statutory requirements. Assist with end‑of‑year payroll processes, including payment summaries and reconciliations. Maintain accurate payroll records and confidential employee data with the utmost discretion. What You’ll Bring (Essential Skills & Experience) Proven, hands‑on experience with Micropay is absolutely essential. Relevant Certification in Payroll or equivalent, extensive experience. Strong, up‑to‑date knowledge of Australian payroll legislation (including award interpretation, superannuation, and taxation). A meticulous eye for detail and exceptional data accuracy skills.
