About the role You will have the exciting opportunity to receive enhanced training, development and cultural mentoring support through a First Nations Allied Health Graduate Pathway position. The First Nations Allied Health Graduate Pathway aims to model an accessible, safe, effective, efficient, culturally safe and supportive entry to practice for an Allied Health graduate that identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. The position will engage in the workplace temporary full time and will be supported by the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service to dedicate 1 day per fortnight to developmental time including training, development, project activities, participation in regular cultural mentoring and participation in regular clinical supervision. The Graduate Pathway position will be supported by a development package which will provide: Funded attendance to the Indigenous Allied Health Australia (IAHA) Leadership program. Travel and accommodation to the annual Queensland Health First Nations Allied Health face to face networking meeting. Cost of university enrolment fees into MO1001 Project Management Skills and MO1007 Project Evaluation and Transition Outcomes modules in second year of Pathway.
