Job Overview We're looking for a HR Compliance & Competency Coordinator who's passionate about building strong people systems, ensuring workforce readiness, and helping us maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance, and capability across our operations. About the Role Reporting to the Head of HR the HR Compliance & Competency Coordinator is responsible for forming strong and trusted partnerships with stakeholders to assist with identifying, developing, implementing and evaluating learning and development activities for both internal employees and external parties, in close collaboration with the Head of HR. The role is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and maintaining the organisation’s training and competency framework to ensure all parties possess the required qualifications, skills, and knowledge to perform their roles safely and effectively. Position Responsibilities Training Assist with identifying, developing, implementing and evaluating new and existing learning and development programs across the Company, in line with ASQA requirements, National Quality Standards and the Company business objectives, in close collaboration with the Head of HR Create and maintain E‑Learning content supported by the subject matter experts Develop, schedule, and coordinate internal and external training programs Maintain the LMS / training database Maintain accurate training records and certification databases Liaise with training providers, assessors, and subject matter experts to ensure quality and compliance Manage onboarding and induction training for new employees and contractors Prepare and distribute training materials, assessments, and resources Support ad hoc project‑based training Competency Management Ensure systems and data integrity Implement and maintain competency frameworks for all operational roles Support managers and supervisors in identifying training gaps and developing individual development plans Ensure all regulatory, licence, and certification requirements are tracked and current Compliance and Reporting Ensure training and competency programs comply with legislative, industry, and company requirements Prepare and present reports on training completion, compliance status, and upcoming expiries Assist with audits and accreditation reviews Maintain records in accordance with document control and data privacy standards Carry out rail safety worked card lifecycle management Review and update training materials, policies, and procedures to reflect changes in legislation, standards, or operations Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics Evaluate and review TNA based on learning requirements / training needs Track training spending and assist with the development of the annual training budget Undertake other learning and development related activities as directed by the Head of HR Provide general support to other HR duties when needed and Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with supervisors, team leaders, and subject matter experts to identify training needs Provide advice and support to managers on training options and competency requirements Build positive relationships with external training providers and assessors Manage training supplier onboarding as required Represent the company at national / global community forums Experience working within a learning and development environment including holding broad experience in the design, coordination and evaluation of learning programs and solutions will be considered advantageous Experience working with package development software including Articulate Experience in building strong cross‑functional working relationships Formal learning and development qualifications preferred Strong technological literacy Profile Requirements Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy Able to actively seek out opportunities for improvement and be a key driver for positive change A highly self‑motivated team player, with sound organisational skills Able to apply creativity and innovation towards the creation and roll out of learning content for a geographically dispersed workforce Demonstrates a collaborative, positive and energetic approach Able to act and behave with integrity and in accordance with Keolis Downer Gold Coast’s (KDGC) code of conduct and values at all times and in such manner so as not to bring KDGC into disrepute or disrespect Works well under pressure, meeting set deadlines and excels at working autonomously Enjoys the challenge of a varied workday, with an ability to multi‑task and Legally entitled to live and work in Australia About us The G:link is operated and maintained by Keolis Downer Gold Coast (KD).
