School Crossing Supervisor - Wilton Public School Job reference number: Employment type: Permanent Part-Time Hours: 1 hour morning (8:30‑9:30 AM) and 1 hour afternoon (2:50‑3:50 PM), Monday to Friday – 20 hours per fortnight. Salary: $26.43 per hour, plus superannuation and compensation during school holidays (Terms 1‑3). In this role As a School Crossing Supervisor you will become a valued Road Safety Hero in the community, ensuring the safety of children, parents, teachers and local motorists. You will be the familiar face around the school and a key support to families and staff. Key responsibilities Supervise school crossings during designated zone hours. Maintain a visible and calm presence in all weather conditions. Communicate effectively with school staff, parents and local motorists. Identify and respond to potential safety hazards. Support the school community by promoting road safety awareness. Qualifications & requirements Be at least 18 years of age. Reliable and punctual; ready to show up regardless of weather. Excellent communication skills and keen awareness of safety risks. Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check and a Health Assessment (training, uniforms and equipment provided).
