The School offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses in a wide range of Business disciplines as well as research-based doctoral degrees.ABOUT THE ROLEThe School of Law & Business seeks to appoint an academic on our Sydney or Fremantle campus. Responsibilities include the coordination and delivery of the business courses and programs in one or more of the above-mentioned disciplines. The role will also include involvement in special projects.The role may also include leadership in relation to the design, implementation and ongoing review of curriculum and accreditation activities of undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs. Experience in the development and management of postgraduate programs is essential.Prior experience in business will be looked upon favorably. Applicant must also express a priority for teaching and the pastoral care of students.Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake program coordination, leading curriculum design and overseeing the programsLead curriculum mapping of programs in consultation with academic staff within the facultyCollaborate with existing University partners to ensure program deliveryDevelop significant external partnerships in the relevant disciplines to create and maintain pathways for student enrolmentsManage accreditation and other regulatory processes that includes the management of international students.Support the marketing, prospective students, and international offices in the recruitment of studentsManage the student experience in the postgraduate programs and coordinate staff to ensure successful deliveryUndertake industry benchmarking around programs in key discipline area, to ensure best practiceQualifications, skills & experiencePhd or DBA qualified with demonstrated scholarly and professional achievement in the relevant discipline area.Proven ability to assess priority of tasks, manage workload and meet deadlines in a busy education environment.Prior teaching experience at the tertiary level with sound understanding of pedagogical and/or adult learning principles, especially in postgraduate programs.Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including supporting international students.Ability to deliver quality learning and teaching practices in multiple modes including online delivery and incorporate technology (e.g. Blackboard, zoom, email, internet) into teaching and learning.Demonstrated experience embedding Indigenous knowledge and business ethicsDemonstrated ability in developing resources/curriculum documents as well as criteria and standards-based assessment tasks.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to foster high levels of collegiality and ability to empathise with students.Demonstrate a willingness to be involved in academic and professional activities and in school policy development and administrative matters.BENEFITSGenerous training and development opportunitiesFriendly and collaborative working environmentFast paced environment with opportunity for professional growthCONTACT USPlease apply online with a resume and cover letter addressing the above selection criteria to enable us to assess your suitability for the role.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.The University of Notre Dame Australia seeks to increase the diversity of our workforce to better meet the different needs of the University and its stakeholders and to improve equal opportunity outcomes for our staff.The University of Notre Dame Australia is a distinctive national Catholic university that hosts more than 11,000 students across its Campuses in Fremantle, Broome and Sydney.
