Operations Manager, Design Lighting Brand We are Nook Collections, a lighting distributor of international and local brands based in Surry Hills. We are looking for a strategic, results-driven Operations Manager , to lead our operational processes and ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of day-to-day business activities. STARTING DATE: End of Jan Role Overview As the Operations Manager , you will oversee all operational functions, drive process improvements, and ensure that the company runs efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with the director to align operations with business goals, manage resources, and support the company's continued growth. Key Responsibilities Analyse data to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company objectives Lead and manage operational teams and department managers Optimise workflows to boost efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness Lead, coach, and mentor a small, multidisciplinary team – the operations, logistics, and customer service teams, creating clarity around roles and expectations. Monitor and analyse key performance indicators of the team (KPIs) to ensure operational excellence Foster an environment rooted in creativity, customer focus, and design-driven excellence. Foster a high-performing culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and financial planning for operations Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols Drive continuous improvement initiatives and introduce new technologies or systems Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional goals Address operational challenges and lead crisis management efforts Prepare reports and present operational insights to director Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in an Operations Manager, Head of Operations, or similar leadership role Strong background in process optimisation, organisational planning, and team management Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication, leadership, and people-management abilities Experience with budget management and operational forecasting Knowledge of compliance standards and operational best practices Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Tech Savvy Knowledge of Hubspot – Shopify – ERP systems is a must Self-Starter and Self-Driven Preferred Qualifications Experience in e-commerce Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field Familiarity with ERP systems or process automation tools What We Offer Extra day off* for Birthday Celebrations Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
