Join to apply for the Security Architect - Secure by Design role at Macquarie Group . Join our Banking and Financial Services Security and Fraud Prevention team to defend Macquarie’s retail banking and financial services business. Our team ensures confidentiality, integrity and availability of Macquarie’s systems and information. Role Overview In this role as a Security Architect, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to provide security advice and define security architectures for business initiatives and projects. Partnering with technical delivery teams, you will work with technologies including but not limited to cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), container orchestration and automation tools and help drive the secure evolution of the organisation. You will also review Macquarie’s security capabilities and provide recommendations to uplift our security capability landscape. What You Offer 10+ years’ experience in technical design and architecture roles and 7+ years security experience in large enterprises Current or previous experience in configuring, operating, designing and architecting security solutions for business and technology initiatives Familiarity and experience in formal security architecture aspects, including logical and physical security architecture/design Familiarity with SABSA, NIST 800-53, Open FAIR, MITRE ATT&CK/D3FEND, threat modelling and related methodologies or frameworks Demonstrable experience working with public cloud (AWS and/or GCP), containers, Kubernetes and related technologies Experience with security engineering, API security, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, automation, and application development valuable Familiarity working within an Agile environment Sound understanding of vendor technologies and roadmaps, and remains current with key IT industry themes and emerging trends Benefits 1 wellbeing leave day per year Up to 5 additional service bonus leave days per year Up to 20 weeks’ paid parental leave for primary caregivers along with 12 days of transition leave upon return to work, and 6 weeks’ paid leave for non-primary caregivers 2 days of paid volunteer leave and donation matching Up to 12 months’ gender affirmation leave, including 6 weeks’ paid leave Access to Employee Assistance Program and wellbeing benefits including skin and health checks, and flu vaccinations Access to a wide range of salary packaging options Access to a wide range of learning and development opportunities, including reimbursement for professional membership or subscription Hybrid and flexible working arrangements, dependent on role Reimbursement for work from home equipment Diversity, Equity and Inclusion We are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace.
