Aurora BioScience Pty Ltd are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Biomedical Engineer to join our growing team. This hands‑on role involves product servicing, repairs and customer support for a wide range of hi‑tech medical equipment. In this full‑time position based in Dural, NSW, you will be responsible for providing expert technical and clinical support to our valued customers across the hospital, pathology and life sciences industry. Leveraging your strong biomedical engineering background and exceptional customer service skills, you will play a key role in driving business growth and delivering cutting‑edge solutions to meet our clients' needs. What you’ll be doing Liaise with customers on any product technical issues and provide professional service and support to all customers. Assist in trouble‑shooting problems and applications support for our biomedical equipment. Manage retrieval, replacement or repair of medical equipment. Support team in liaising with overseas suppliers on technical and clinical enquiries/requests. Complete quality inspections of returned medical goods, including testing of biomedical equipment. Providing in‑depth technical expertise and consultative support to promote and service our innovative product portfolio. Engaging with existing and prospective customers to understand their unique requirements and challenges. Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the corrective action process for product issues, including submitting service reports as appropriate. Assess risks of non‑conformances, ensure investigations are conducted to identify causes. Maintain strong relationships with customers and proactively identify new opportunities. Collaborate cross‑functionally with the wider business to ensure seamless customer experiences. What we’re looking for Tertiary qualification in biomedical engineering or a suitable scientific or technical discipline, such as pathology or blood banking (essential). Proven track record in a technical support or engineering role within the hospital, pathology or life sciences industry (a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the medical device industry is essential). Demonstrated understanding of medical devices and equipment (essential). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the capacity to provide tailored solutions. Have flexibility and adaptability in approach to tasks. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and autonomously, taking accountability for the quality of the work while ensuring it is completed in a timely manner.
