BS Gill Transport Pty Ltd Heavy Truck Drivers (ANZSCO: ) Full-Time/ Permanent Job Type: Permanent position | Full Time position Job Description $76,000 – 85,000 (salary will be commensurate to qualifications and experience) Duties and Responsibilities: Operate heavy trucks with a carrying capacity of more than three tonnes to transport and deliver goods and materials. Work in remote or regional locations and undertake long-distance driving when required. Conduct comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe and operational, and report any defects identified. Load and unload cargo, including completing multiple deliveries across different locations. Obtain proof-of-delivery documents and return all required paperwork to the office in a timely manner. Apply correct load-restraint methods in accordance with the Heavy Vehicle Load Restraint Guide. Maintain communication with the dispatcher or supervisor via radio or telephone to receive ongoing instructions or new delivery tasks. Efficiently complete all delivery documentation, including run sheets, work diaries, and regulatory compliance records. Accept and process new delivery assignments as directed during operations. Maintain driver logs in accordance with State and Federal legislative requirements. Report any incidents or issues encountered on the road to the dispatcher immediately. Follow all required procedures in the event of an accident. Refuel the truck, clean the cab, and wash windows at the completion of each trip. Maintain accurate records of the goods and materials transported. Keep a log of daily activities and driving hours as required. Ensure the truck and associated equipment are kept clean, serviced, and in good working order. Plan and navigate delivery routes using maps, GPS, or satellite tracking systems. Qualifications and Experience AQF Certificate II or III Valid Australian MC truck licence Minimum of 1 year’s recent heavy/multi-combination driving experience Demonstrate sound geographic knowledge Australia-wide Be highly reliable with a first-class approach to safety and customer service with good communication skills Fatigue Management Certificate Able to pass a drug and alcohol and pre-employment medical MSIC Card or willing to obtain Load restraint certificate Require DG Licence or willing to obtain #J-18808-Ljbffr
