Extensive experience in corporate legal and governance (funds management / REITs preferred) Strong commercial acumen and judgement Law degree and current practising certificate Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills About the Role Reporting to the Chief Legal & Commercial Officer, this Permanent Full-Time role is pivotal in shaping the company's direction, providing high-level advice to the Board and Executive, and ensuring Cromwell's legal and governance frameworks support our growth and compliance objectives. Key Strategic Responsibilities Advise the Board and Executive Leadership on complex corporate legal and governance matters, influencing key business decisions and risk management. Lead and develop the legal team and company secretary, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture aligned with Cromwell's strategic goals. Oversee legal support for major corporate actions, equity raisings, and transactions, ensuring alignment with Cromwell's business strategy and regulatory obligations. Provide expert legal guidance on funds management activities, including compliance with AFSLs, scheme establishment, disclosure documents, and regulatory requirements. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in legal processes, governance frameworks, and risk management practices to support Cromwell's evolving needs. Operational Responsibility Ensure the effective delivery of day-to-day legal services, including compliance, documentation, and support for business operations across the group.
