About the Role As a Tax Adviser , you’ll join a talented team of tax specialists who act as the “advisers’ adviser.” You’ll apply and expand your technical tax expertise, delivering timely and practical advice on a wide range of tax and business issues. This role is perfect for someone with experience in business services and tax advisory at a managerial level in public practice or a similar level within the ATO. You’ll enjoy researching and resolving complex issues and contributing to the development of our extensive knowledge base. If you have a passion for sharing knowledge, we’ll also support you to develop as a presenter for our workshops and training programs. What You’ll Do Provide accurate, practical responses to tax and business service questions from accountants and advisers. Collaborate with peers to ensure members receive reliable, consistent advice. Contribute to the creation and improvement of technical resources and education materials. Stay up to date with technical and legislative changes, sharing insights with the team and members. (Optional) Deliver technical education sessions, achieving strong client feedback. What You’ll Bring 5+ years of experience at Manager level or higher in an Australian public accounting practice or at a similar level within the ATO. Strong technical tax advisory experience with the ability to interpret and apply legislation, rulings and guidance. Current membership with CPA Australia, CAANZ, or TTI. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self‑motivated, with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, intellectually stimulating environment.
