After extensive investment and refurbishment, the Black Dolphin will soon be reopening as one of Australia’s leading retro coastal retreats. This is a full‑time, on‑site role in Merimbula, with potential live‑in accommodation for the right candidate. The Role As General Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day‑to‑day operations, driving operational excellence, community engagement, and guest experience. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of daily park operations Build and maintain strong relationships Identify and act on local events, tourism trends, and business development opportunities to drive occupancy and revenue Lead the recruitment, training, and development of your team Maximise revenue through yield management (with support of Revenue Manager), and control operating costs in line with the property budget Oversee front office administration, reservation systems, and customer service functions Respond to after‑hours calls and operational issues as required Ensure all facilities, amenities, and grounds are maintained to the highest standards Be involved with planning and executing guest experiences Skills & Attributes The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience in hospitality (highly desirable) An energetic, “can‑do” attitude with strong interpersonal and leadership skills Excellent customer service Strong organisational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional presentation style Experience with RMS9+ or Newbook booking systems (highly desirable) Employment Basis & Remuneration Full‑time position with a competitive base salary Performance incentives based on achievement of KPIs Remuneration package tailored to the successful candidate’s skills and experience Location: Merimbula, Illawarra & South Coast NSW Job Type: Full Time If you’re looking for your next role and want to be part of a brand‑new property from day one, we’d love to hear from you.
