Network Security Firewall & Policies Consultant Be among the first 25 applicants Direct message the job poster from BURGEON IT SERVICES Position : Network Security Firewall & Policies Consultant Location : Sydney, NSW Duration : 6 months and extendable Job Description: Execute change management and maintenance activities. Participate in Major Incident meetings to resolve P1/P2 tickets. Handle P3 & P4 incident tickets if not resolved at first level. Prepare reports. Upgrade and apply patches to security devices. Administer and manage VPNs (RA & S2S). Renew certificates of security devices. Manage device licensing and lifecycle. Create knowledge base articles for operational reuse. Manage problems related to recurring issues. Validate and configure NAT rules on firewalls. Manage routing configurations (Prefix list, Route-map). Configure URL filtering rules for traffic above Layer 4 to 7. Harden firewalls according to cybersecurity recommendations. Update vulnerability databases and snort rules periodically. Adjust firewall platform settings based on network architecture changes. Remediate vulnerabilities based on CIA ratings. Peer review firewall rules and templates for correctness and compliance. Review SNOW tickets regularly to ensure timely handling. Coordinate with third parties and OEMs as needed. Participate in daily operations review meetings. Support cross-functional teams in resolving major incidents. Handle service requests beyond Level 1 support. Identify devices needing upgrades based on BCS reports. Monitor emails and track responses. Manage incidents, service requests, catalogs, knowledge, changes, problems, CMDB/assets, templates, monitoring, and events. Must Have Skills Network Security Infrasec Nice to have skills: Strong research, critical thinking, and analysis skills (formal training a bonus) Understanding of concepts such as the intelligence cycle, Cyber Kill Chain, and MITRE ATT&CK framework Minimum years of experience: 8-10 years Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Information Technology Industries IT Services and IT Consulting Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at BURGEON IT SERVICES by 2x.
