Physiotherapist - Get Active New England Join to apply for the Physiotherapist - Get Active New England role at Hunter New England Local Health District Employment Type: Temporary Part Time Until June 2027 Position Classification: Physiotherapist Level 3 Remuneration: $116,892 - $120,680 + Super + Salary Packaging Hours Per Week: 16 Requisition ID: REQ Location: Negotiable across the New England Region Closing Date: Thursday 4th December About The Role This exciting role will see you work within the Get Active New England Falls Prevention Service, where you will provide clients with short term support to reduce their falls risk and promote a healthy aging lifestyle. You will conduct home based assessments and intervention for clients aged over 65 (or aged 50 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients) through the My Aged Care system. You will work two days per week, with the flexibility to choose which days. The location for this role is negotiable across the New England region. Get Active New England is a falls prevention service funded by the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP). About You We are looking for someone who is self‑motivated and organised, with high level time management and communication skills. You should be a team player, with a passion for falls prevention and working with the elderly. Requirements Physiotherapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA Current unencumbered NSW Driver's licence and ability to drive longer distances (up to 300km round trip) for service provision. Additional Information An eligibility list will be created for future temporary part time vacancies. To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia.
