Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Chef to join our team in Geelong . We are looking for someone with proven experience in Indian cuisine and the ability to contribute to our busy and professional kitchen environment. About the Role The successful applicant will be responsible for performing duties including, but not limited to: Preparing and cooking full-course meals and specialised Indian dishes. Planning, developing and updating menus, including seasonal and specialty items. Supervising and coordinating activities of kitchen staff. Ensuring all food preparation and service areas meet hygiene and safety standards. Preparing dishes for customers with allergies or specific dietary requirements. Estimating food and supply needs and assisting with cost control. Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and work areas. Seasoning and cooking food according to authentic recipes and personal experience. Regulating cooking temperatures across ovens, grills, tandoors and other equipment. Assisting other chefs during peak service periods. Communicating effectively in both written and verbal form. Showing initiative and working independently when required. Demonstrating strong organisational and time-management skills. Working effectively within a team environment. Minimum one year of Tandoor experience is essential. Skills and Experience Required Trade qualification as a Chef - Minimum Diploma (or equivalent). Minimum 1 year of full-time relevant experience. Strong technical skills across all kitchen operations. Ability to supervise, support and motivate junior staff. Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Genuine passion for high-quality food and customer satisfaction.
